《走遍中国练习册2》包含12个单元,每个单元包含3课,针对不同语言技能设置了丰富的练习题。第一课一般包含词语练习、发音练习、会话和听力练习,第二课一般有阅读练习、写作练习和语法练习,第三课一般包含对话练习、认读汉字、写汉字、汉字笔顺练习和自我评估。练习设置与学生书内容紧密关联,可以很好地复习学生所学内容,并遵从“听说读写”的语言学习规律,循序渐进地帮助学生巩固所学内容。练习册中的词语练习可以帮助学生掌握每一课的重点生词,使学生能够认读并在日常交际中使用这些词语。发音练习主要针对欧美学生在汉语发音上的难点和易错点设置,将帮助学生更好地听音、发音。听力练习、阅读练习和写作练习将按照“输入——输出”的规律,帮助学生从词语表达过渡到段落表达。汉字练习将帮助学生从部首、笔画开始,逐渐过渡到笔顺和整字练习,帮助欧美学生更好地克服写汉字的难题。每一单元最后的自我评估表将促进学生自我反思,个性化地总结自己学习汉语的问题,从而有针对性地调整自己的学习方案。

1.中外结合的工作团队:《走遍中国》邀请了外方教材编写专家作为顾问,如国际知名的英语第二语言教材编写专家Simon Greenall先生,实质性介入编写工作。中方主编、外方顾问和国外汉语教师三方合作,中方作者队伍负责内容编写;外方教材专家负责把关教材编写理念、教学法等方面;国外汉语教师负责在实际课堂上进行试用,并征集学生反馈意见。该书由外研社与英国麦克米伦出版集团联合出版,双方强强联手,为该项目配备了通晓英文的中文编辑和会说中文的英文编辑,使教材在初步细节方面可以得到质量的保障。

Discover China is a four-level Mandarin Chinese course, specially designed for beginners to intermediate students and employs a communicative approach to learning Chinese. As a complement to the Student’s Book for both in-class and self-study use, the Workbook offers exercises that follow the structure of the Student’s Book and consolidate the key language points and skills from the corresponding units.
